When to Choose Staff Augmentation vs. Project Outsourcing?
A strategic guide to help you decide which collaboration model best suits your firm's needs.
A strategic guide to help you decide which collaboration model best suits your firm's needs.
Deciding how to scale your team and production capacity is one of the most important strategic decisions for an architecture or construction firm. At Altorrelieve, we offer two nearshore collaboration models designed to meet different needs: Staff Augmentation (SA) and Project Outsourcing (PO). Here, we help you understand which one is right for you.
The Staff Augmentation model involves temporarily integrating our high-level professionals directly into your team. You maintain full control over the management and direction of tasks, while we provide the specialized talent you need for peak workloads, competitions, or intensive conceptual phases.
"The right choice isn't about which model is better, but which one aligns best with your goals. Staff Augmentation is agility; Project Outsourcing is predictability. We offer both."
- Ricardo Romo, CEO of Altorrelieve
With the Project Outsourcing model, you delegate a complete work package to us with clear objectives. We take care of team management, quality control, and final product delivery, whether it's a set of construction drawings, a coordinated BIM model, or a rendering package. This model is governed by Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that guarantee predictable results.
If your primary need is to increase creative capacity and maintain direct control, choose Staff Augmentation. If your goal is to delegate technical production with guaranteed and predictable results, choose Project Outsourcing. At Altorrelieve, we are ready to advise you and build the collaboration model that drives the success of your firm.

This is the exact breakdown I needed. I now have a much better understanding of which model fits our current project phase. Thank you!

The idea of SLA-based outsourcing is very appealing. It removes a lot of the uncertainty we've had with other providers.
